We believe little Sprite was a puppy mill dog who was dumped at the pound. We are not really sure of her beginnings, but what we do know is, she had only days to live, so we asked a local rescuer to pull her out of the kill pound in Missouri and get her vetted for us until we could bring her to Teulon. We got an email a few days later... she was pregnant.

We were even more glad we saved her. When little Sprite arrived, we were amazed at how tiny she was. She was so thin and boney, with a belly full of babies. She had been starved.

Within a couple of days, Sprite was house broken, and had stolen everyone's heart. Less than 10 days later, she brought 6 beautiful babies into the world. 5 girls and one boy. She is a wonderful devoted Mama, which is amazing considering she is a puppy herself, at just 8 months of age.
